The Gambling Help Service supports people affected by problem gambling.

The gambling service is strictly confidential and meets people affected by problem gambling including the problem gambler and family or friends associated with the gambling issues.

You will:

  • Have a high level of communication skills, including the ability to establish rapport and maintaining a positive relationship with clients
  • Have the ability to work autonomously with minimum supervision
  • Be solution focused.
  • Have proficient time management

It is essential for you to have: 

  • Current Australian Drivers Licence
  • Certificate IV or above in a Human Services related field e.g. Community Services, Case Management, Disability, Mental Health, Youth Work, etc.
  • Relevant experience, in a paid or voluntary capacity
  • A Diploma of Community Service (Financial Counselling) Will be highly regarded but not essential

A tertiary qualification in a Human Services related field e.g. Social Work will be highly regarded.  You may also need to be available for some out of hours work and travel between UCSA sites or interstate as required.
