Assist in the development of the Work, Health and Safety Systems for a fast growth and reputable Aged Care and Community Services organisation.


UnitingSA is a not-for-profit organisation that provides aged care, housing and community services to over 16,000 people across regional and metropolitan South Australia. 

About You and the Position

The Work, Health and Safety Advisor is responsible for providing support, advice and guidance on Work Health and Safety matters across the organisation to achieve Uniting SA’s WHS strategic objectives. 

List of key responsibilities:

  • Conduct on site risk assessments/hazard identification
  • Provide WHS support and advice to managers and supervisors across the organisation
  • Development and review of SOP's 
  • Assist in the development and roll out of Well-being and Training Programs
  • Participate in WHS representation meetings 
  • Participate in the development of new online WHS system implementation

The successful applicant will possess the following:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in WHS
  • Current or willing to obtain Police Check & relevant DCSI Clearance
  • Experience and understanding of hazard identification, risk assessments, incident reporting and the hierarchy of control
  • Understanding the Self Insurance Performance Standards/AS 4801
