The Community Services Team is looking to appoint an enthusiastic Support Worker to support the disability programs within Uniting SA. Located within the metropolitan areas of Adelaide, we require a competent professional who is experienced working within a human services team and enjoys working in a busy environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Deliver goal oriented services that enables consumers to remain safe and independent in the community
  • Assist consumers to remain living in their own home empowering them to make good choices to achieve this outcome
  • Observe and promptly report any changes in consumers’ health and well-being
  • Regularly review and evaluate support plans with the consumers, their carer’s, significant others and the Coordinator as part of the review process

To be successful in the role you will have:

  • Current SA driver’s license
  • DCSI Clearance (Child & Disability)
  • Experience working with people with Mental Health and/or other disabilities
  • Strong belief in human rights and inclusion for all people
