Uniting Country Housing Inc. (UCH) is a Tier 3 Community Housing Organisation under the National Community Housing Regulations. UCH is a sister organisation of Uniting Country SA (UCSA) and has adopted the vision, values, policies and procedures of UCSA.

The UCH Manager is responsible for delivering high quality, viable, efficient and effective community housing in accordance with UCH vision and values and Government and other contractual obligations. Outcomes will be delivered on time, within budget and within the specified terms and conditions set down in regulations.  The Manager will support all UCH staff to achieve the best outcomes for customers whilst actively demonstrating knowledge and understanding of what supports positive change within disadvantaged communities and individuals.

You will:

  • Have experience as a housing professional
  • Work autonomously, providing operational leadership and management to UCH staff
  • Deliver regionally based community housing services efficiently and effectively and in accordance with contractual and legislative requirements
  • Develop and maintain linkages with the South Australian Housing Authority, support providers and other relevant organisations to promote effective service outcomes
  • Manage quality assurance of service delivery and monitor and analyse key performance indicators, identify trends and develop strategies in response to trends
  • Be a professional and confident communicator with the ability to remain composed during difficult situations and challenging conversations.
  • Be a role model for the values of Uniting Country Housing and our strong and positive workplace culture.

It is essential for you to have: 

  • Diploma or higher in a relevant discipline and/or
  • 5 years relevant experience leading a team and holding direct budget responsibility
  • Current Australian Drivers Licence

Special Conditions:

  • Appointment to the role will be subject to a satisfactory Department of Human Services (DHS) Working with Children check
  • The role requires regular intrastate travel and occasional interstate travel
