ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking to expand our current team and have vacancies for a number of Personal Care Workers to support residents across all of our UnitingCare Wesley Aged Care Facilities. We are seeking professional and enthusiastic Carers that enjoy working in a busy environment and strive to deliver the very best care to the residents throughout our Aged Care Facilities.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing relationships with residents, residents families, volunteers, staff & management
  • Providing a high standard of care & support to residents
  • Provide quality care to residents in accordance with care plans and helping residents with personal care needs
  • Demonstrate sensitivity and maturity to provide personal care to another person(s) including bathing, dressing, feeding and toileting.
  • Update the Nurse in Charge about care requirements for residents in a timely manner
  • Accurately report all incidents to the Nurse in Charge and ensure documentation is completed
  • Complete all relevant documentation accurately
  • Interacting with a range of cultures and backgrounds

To be successful in the role you will have:

  • Experience as a Personal Care Attendant
  • Certificate III or IV in Aged Care
  • Experience and understanding of Aged Care
  • Current Employment Police Check

You will also demonstrate a positive and professional "can-do" attitude, excellent verbal communication skills, with the ability to work equally well as a member of a team or working alone.
