ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking to expand our current team and have vacancies for a number of Enrolled Nurses to support residents across all of our UnitingCare Wesley Aged Care Facilities including our HomeCare Program. . We are seeking professional and enthusiastic Enrolled Nurses that enjoy working in a busy environment and strive to deliver the very best care to the residents throughout our Aged Care Facilities.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Administration of medication as per the legislative guidelines and UCWPA policy and procedures
  • Administer Wound Care
  • Direct and monitor care staff
  • Provide support to the Registered Nurse in clinical matters
  • Support residents with care requirements
  • Relate positively with older people and demonstrate empathy, respect and understanding 
  • Accurately complete reporting and documentation

To be successful in the role you will have:

  • Enrolled with the National Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (NHPRA) and hold a current practising certificate
  • Experience with clinical IT, Leecare Plus
  • Knowledge and experience in the documentation requirements for the validation of the Aged Care Funding Instrument
  • Knowledge of the Aged Care Accreditation process
  • Knowledge and understanding of legislation and regulations applicable to aged care service delivery

 

You will also demonstrate a positive and professional "can-do" attitude, excellent verbal communication skills, with the ability to work equally well as a member of a team or working alone.
