ABOUT THE ROLE

Wesley Social Enterprises is currently looking to appoint an enthusiastic Business Supervisor to supervise our Supported Employees within our Supported Employment Program.  Working across a number of locations we require a competent professional with experience and knowledge in leadership, administration and/or small business operations and enjoys working in a busy environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead a specific enterprise team in performing contracted works using sound operational and business practices
  • Provide appropriate support and on-the-job guidance to workers in the program
  • Quote jobs and negotiate fees with customers
  • Develop, monitor and review goals with the Individual Supported Employee in consultation with the program and line manager
  • Train workers in relevant skills to meet the operational needs, business’ quality standards and timelines.
  • Participate in meetings, work groups, planning and development activities

To be successful in the role you will have:

  • Community Services Certificate (disability work) or equivalent (desirable)
  • Must hold a current Drivers Licence and ability to drive an 11 passenger vehicle while towing a trailer
  • Experience in supervising high needs employees and an understanding of issues facing people with disability especially those living with a mental health disability
  • DCSI Clearance (required) or willing to obtain
  • Senior First Aid Certificate (required) or willing to obtain
  •  Must  have computer skills and ability to use Microsoft suite of office software

You will also demonstrate a positive and professional "can-do" attitude, excellent verbal communication skills, with the ability to work equally well as a member of a team or working alone.
