ABOUT THE ROLE

The Finance Services department is looking to appoint an enthusiastic Accounts Receivable  Officer who will be responsible for processing the billing of aged care residents, answering queries and following up on overdue accounts.  As part of the role you will interact with residents, their families and staff of all levels. Located at Dale St Port Adelaide, we require a competent professional with  a  strong customer service focus and experience in processing resident billing and debt collection that enjoys working in a busy environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Liaise with Admissions, Aged Care sites and Aged Care accountant to ensure billing details are accurate
  • Monitor aged care resident movements to ensure accurate calculation of resident billing charges
  • Process adhoc resident manual charges and reconcile to payments made to suppliers
  • Charge UCWPA aged care residents accurately and in a timely manner 
  • Maintain resident billing debtors with particular reference to identifying slow paying debtors and reporting and instigating debt recovery procedures

To be successful in the role you will have:

  • Knowledge of  resident billing systems (CIM preferable)
  • Experience using Microsoft Office
  • Strong attention to detail

You will also demonstrate a positive and professional "can-do" attitude, excellent verbal communication skills, with the ability to work equally well as a member of a team or working alone.
