UnitingCare Wesley Port Adelaide is a large non-government agency providing a range of aged care, community mental health, homelessness, multicultural, youth and family services across the state.

 

IPRSS West is a well-established and dynamic provider of person centred support services for people living with a mental illness in the Western Suburbs of Adelaide.

 

The role of the Coordinator involves supervising a team of Community Support Workers, data entry, allocation of resources and liaising with Adult Mental Health Services, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services, and a range of other service providers. The Coordinator also contributes to the overall development of UCWPA's Community Mental Health programs. 

 

You will:

  • Have empathy for people experiencing a mental illness;
  • Have knowledge of mental illness, the role of psychosocial supports and a person centred approach;
  • Ability to lead and supervise a team of Community Support Workers;
  • Ability to liaise and work in partnership with a range of clinical and other service providers;
  • Ability to allocate resources, work within budgetary limitations and work to service agreements and protocols;
  • Ability to make reports and ensure data entry is completed;
  • Ability to set priorities and manage high workloads;
  • Have knowledge of Work Health and Safety responsibilities.

 

The successful applicant will have:

  • Tertiary qualification in Human Services;
  • Experience managing a team;
  • Experience working with people with multiple and complex needs;
  • Experience working in collaboration with other services;
  • You are required to hold a current, unrestricted driver’s license.
