The Port Augusta Regional Domestic and Aboriginal Family Violence Service provides support to people who are at risk of, or are homeless due to Domestic or Family Violence, as well as those people experiencing Domestic or Family Violence.  Working independently and as part of a team the Case Manager supports clients through the provision of professional high quality case management, advocacy and counselling.

 

You will:

  • Have a knowledge of the issues affecting homeless and domestic violence clients
  • Have the ability to establish positive, empowering relationships
  • Advocate for and with your clients, ensuring their needs are the focus
  • Be organised, plan to meet deadlines
  • Have high level communication skills, written and verbal

It is desirable, but not essential for you to have: 

  • Certificate 4 or above in Community Services (Case Management, Disability, Mental Health, Youth Work, etc.)
  • Relevant experience, in a paid or voluntary capacity

A tertiary qualification in a Human Services related field e.g. Social Work will be highly regarded.

 

A current Australian Drivers Licence is essential.  You may also need to be available for some out of hours work and travel between UCWCSA sites or interstate as required.
