Building Family Opportunities (BFO) provides support to long term jobless families and newly redundant workers to look at their options and current skills and strengths, in relation to gaining alternate employment. The program provides an intensive case management service with professional and practical assistance to families with children and dependents less than 24 years of age.


You will:

  • Work collaboratively with a diverse range of people with multiple and complex needs 
  • Advocate for and encourage jobseekers to access available job opportunities
  • Support jobless families to increase their health, wellbeing and, social and economic participation

It is essential for you to have: 

  • Current Australian Drivers Licence
  • Certificate 4 or above in a Human Services related field e.g. Community Services, Case Management, Disability, Mental Health, Youth Work, etc.
  • Relevant experience, in a paid or voluntary capacity

 A tertiary qualification in a Human Services related field e.g. Social Work will be highly regarded.  You may also need to be available for some out of hours work and travel between UCWCSA sites or interstate as required.
